The “REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme” has officially been renamed and re-released as the all new “Leadtheme” for WordPress. Over the past few months, more and more people from outside the real estate investor world have started using the theme for all sorts of different businesses and generating all types of leads and signups. Since all of the main “real estate” features we actually in the content pack, we realized that the theme itself could really be used by anyone. Not to mention “Leadtheme” is so much easier to say!

There weren’t any real feature updates with this renaming, so if you are using version 1.5 of REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme, you don’t really need to upgrade. Essentially, REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme 1.5 and Leadtheme 1.0 are exactly the same. Once we update Leadtheme to a version higher than 1.0, you will then want to upgrade to Leadtheme.

The new website for the theme is Leadtheme.com. Since the WordPress theme resources section is getting bigger and bigger, we thought it was a good idea to move it all to its own site. REIhomesales Investor Theme “Big Stripe” Skin

Since the REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme for real estate investors has been getting more and more popular, we decided to release a cool new update for the theme and the Content Pack.

The best part of this new update is the addition of a new “skin” for the theme. Now you can choose from two different designs! When you first install the theme, it will look like the original design, but if you want to look a little different, just change the “Theme Style” selector in the REIcreator menu in your WordPress admin. The rest of the update to the theme itself is just a couple of bug fixes. We fixed the formatting on squeeze page headers so that the header image doesn’t stick way out on the right side. We also fixed some cForm button placement issues on the lender application page and the contact us page.

Content Pack 1.5 Update

Along with the update to the theme, we also updated the Content Pack. All of the content is the same as before. We simply added support for the multiple skins. The main billboard graphics on the home page and squeeze pages will now change depending on what skin you are using. If you intend on using the new skin, make sure to get the new content pack as well for the full graphic treatments.

Form Pack 1.5 Update

With the latest version of the cForms plug-in, they added the ability to back-up and restore ALL of the plug-in and form settings with one single file. In older versions of the plug-in and the Form Pack, you were required to manually set all of the plug-in settings and you had to import all of the forms one by one. Now you don’t have to worry about all those setting and the tedium of uploading all those forms separately. Now you simply import one single file and it sets all of your forms and settings up the way we recommend setting them up. It is super easy!

Header Pack 1.5 and Header Customization Service

Most of the questions we receive about the theme have to do with adding a custom header image. To make things a little easier, we have added a “Header Image Pack”, containing all of the image files you need in order to make your custom header graphic the correct way. The image pack includes a set of images for each skin. We include a sample image to demonstrate optimal logo sizing and placement, a version of the header with just the logo icon and no text so you can easily add a company name, and we also include a totally blank version that is just the background for you to place your logo on.

Since the creation of custom header images can still be a little tricky for some, we are now offering header image customization services starting at $15. We find that many of the sites that use the REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme are very “blog centric” and can sometimes be a little hard to navigate. Since there are very few WordPress themes that have support built in for author pages and sites with multiple authors, we felt that this would be a very popular new feature. This feature will greatly enhance the site visitor’s experience by making it easier to navigate through the articles on the site that are written by a specific author. This will keep users engaged longer and keep them reading more and more pages per visit.

Along with the multi author feature update for the REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme, we added some built in support for authors that have a Gravatar. We have tried some plug-ins for adding author photos to the author bio pages, and we found that simply using Gravatar was just easier. Plus, it automatically puts your face on all kinds of other sites that you might post on because it associates an image with your email address. All you need to do is get a Gravatar and use the same email address as the email associated with your WordPress user login and your Gravatar will automatically show up as your profile pic.

The second major feature that is new in the 1.002 release is a better way of displaying blog category and other archive pages. In past versions of the REIhomesales Investor WordPress Theme, these pages were simply set to only show the latest post in that category and the user would have to click “next” or “previous” to see more articles in that blog category.

The new layout on the category and archive pages now shows a list of excerpts from a number of the latest articles in that category. You can set the amount of articles to show per page in WordPress’s admin controls. This makes it easier for the user to find and read more articles in a specific category. By showing more articles on each category page, you allow users to have a better chance of seeing and reading more articles that they may be interested in.

Double “Home” link in header – Removed hard coded “Home” link from the the header navigation menu. Now it is less confusing to manage the header navigation.

Squeeze page styling bug fix – The “squeeze page” page template now shows up correctly when using WordPress 3.0.

“Send Now” button fix on lender application page – The “Send Now” button now shows up when using the REIhomesales form Pack – Lender Application Form

“Featured Video” container and header style bug – The “Featured Video” sidebar container and header are now hidden until you add a video. This makes it better when setting up a new site and you don’t have a video yet.

“Sidebar Ads” container style bug – The “Sidebar Ads” container is now hidden until you add an ad code in the REIcreator setting. This makes it better when setting up a new site and you don’t have any ads yet.

“Categories” sidebar container style bug – The “Categories” container in the sidebar is now styled correctly when you first set up the theme. This makes your site look better right out of the box.

Content paragraph text size – Adjusted the font size on the paragraphs in the main content areas. Now your posts will look nicer!

If you are thinking “I don’t need all those pages”, all you need to do is turn off the undesired pages in your WordPress admin.
